JEFFERSON VALLEY, NY — As part of its ongoing commitment to its communities, Club Fit recently created a new “Teachers Challenge." The goal of the challenge was to encourage local educators and school staff to take advantage of their summer schedules to focus on their health and well-being.

The contest, which ran from May through the end of August, encouraged participants to show off their school spirit.

Check-ins at both clubs were tallied to determine individual winners, as well as the winning school. With the most check-ins overall, Marianne Kolesar was the individual winner in Jefferson Valley, while Owen Scully claimed the top spot at Club Fit Briarcliff.

“A little competition can be a great motivator,” Koss said. He also noted that the Mahopac District finished a very close second, and added that their staff is ready to step it up next year.

Individual winners Kolesar and Scully are both very active members of their respective clubs. Each was awarded a six-pack of personal training sessions at Club Fit.

Club Fit is located at 600 Bank Road in Jefferson Valley.
