Crash Leads To Charges In Yorktown
A 20-year-old Peekskill resident was driving a car with a suspended registration.
YORKTOWN, NY — A 20-year-old Peekskill resident faces charges in Yorktown after a two-car crash on Route 6. The accident, at the intersection of East Main Street, took place at 5 p.m. Monday, police said.
The Yorktown officer sent to the scene concluded that driver Junior E. Barreto, of 107 N. Division St., had been following the other car too closely.
The officer also found that Barreto was driving a car that had its registration suspended for parking violations. He was processed at the scene for the traffic violation and the misdemeanor and is due in Yorktown town court Nov. 21.

No one was injured in the crash, which damaged property only.
