The man also was driving with a suspended license, authorities said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Connecticut man was accused of drunken driving and almost crashing into a patrol car.

The Yorktown Police Department said Jason Gladman, 43, of Norwalk, Connecticut, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, driving while intoxicated, first offense, and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more, misdemeanors, and multiple traffic infractions.

Police said, shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday, an officer traveling north on the Taconic State Parkway in a marked patrol vehicle said he saw a car fail to stay in its lane. The car also moved into the officer's lane abruptly and without signaling, police said.

An investigation at the scene found he was driving while intoxicated with alcohol and while his license was suspended.

Police also said Gladman had an open container of alcohol in his car.

He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department where it was determined he was driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more.

After being processed, Gladman was issued traffic tickets and released to a responsible adult.

He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court March 22.
