SPCA investigators are looking for the perpetrators.

Dead, dismembered animals in plastic bags were discovered Aug. 25 near the Croton Reservoir by the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.

The find included a goat whose head was severed and the remains of several other animals.

The DEP called the SPCA of Westchester’s HLE Unit to conduct an investigation into a possible incident of animal cruelty.
