The Yorktown Citizens Veterans Day Committee will commemorate Veterans Day this year with a parade and ceremony on Sunday.
The parade will begin at 2 p.m., stepping off at Lakeland High School and marching down East Main Street to the John C. Hart Library. There will then be a ceremony at the Shrub Oak Veterans Monument.
Yorktown police note that for the safety of marchers and spectators, several roads in the area will be closed to traffic temporarily:

- Stoney Street at East Main
- Stonegate Road at East Main
- New Road (east end) at East Main
- Dane Street at East Main
