Driver Racks Up The Violations During A Carefree Afternoon Ride

Yorktown police said the Croton-on-Hudson resident passed a red light, while on a cellphone, with a suspended license.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 39-year-old Croton-on-Hudson man driving on a suspended license wasn't exactly keeping a low profile, police said.

On Wednesday, shortly after 2 p.m., a patrol officer in the area near 202 and Route 132 saw a driver pass a red signal while using their cellphone, officials said. After a traffic stop, a DMV check showed that the driver was driving while his privilege to do so was suspended in New York

He was processed at the scene, issued traffic tickets and released on his own recognizance.
