Drunk Man Punches Car, Blocks Roadway: Police

Police said they used a stun gun on the man, but he resisted arrest.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Katonah man was accused of criminal mischief after he repeatedly punched the hood of a car and blocked the roadway, Yorktown police said.

Lehman Greene, 57, of Katonah, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct, a violation.

Police said, shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, officers were sent to investigate a report of a disorderly intoxicated person blocking the road.

Greene, police said, was standing in front of a car in the roadway punching the hood of a car. He caused more than $250 worth of damage.

He continued the behavior despite being told to stop, police said.

Greene charged at the police, authorities said, and a stun gun was used on him.

Police said he resisted arrest as well.

Greene was arrested and taken to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation.

The next day, he was issued an appearance ticket while at the hospital and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible third party.

Greene is due in the Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 24.
