Dutchess County Woman Accused Of DWI In Yorktown
The initial call was for a car crashing into a guiderail, police said.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Dutchess County woman was accused of drunken driving in northern Westchester County.
The Yorktown Police Department said Georgietta M. Bento, 68, of Hopewell Junction, was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more, misdemeanors.
Police said, around 9:10 p.m. Friday, officers were sent to the Mobil gas station on Crompond Road for a report of a car that had struck a guiderail.

When they got there, officers said they found the car and ID'd Bento as the driver.
She was found to be intoxicated, police said, and was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing.

Authorities said the investigation discovered Bento was driving a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.18 percent or more.
She was issued traffic tickets and released on her own recognizance to a responsible adult.
Bento is next scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Aug. 10.
