Dutchess Man Arrested In Yorktown For Driving Without License
Police initially pulled the man over for a possible traffic infraction.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Poughkeepsie man was arrested Yorktown for allegedly driving without a license. Yorktown Police said Dashawn Joseph Giddings, 26, of Charles Street in Poughkeepsie, was stopped on Crompond Road by an officer on routine patrol.
The officer said the vehicle Giddings was driving did not have adequate brake lights.
When the officer checked, he found that Giddings was driving while his privilege to do so was revoked because he had been operating a vehicle without insurance.

Also, the officer found that Giddings had been driving without a driver’s license.
He was arrested and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and no/inadequate brake/stop lamps and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, infractions.

Giddings was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court April 19.
