Emergency Helicopter Lands At Yorktown High To Demonstrate Use
The Westchester County Police Department landed the chopper on the Downing Park field.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown High School students were treated to a visit from a working emergency helicopter recently. The YHS Law Enforcement Club hosted the event in which a helicopter and its operators showed the students that there are times when an emergency helicopter is needed. Students got a chance to learn about the helicopter up close and how it is used by law enforcement agents.
The Westchester County Police Department landed the copter on the Downing Park field, according to a district spokeswoman.
The helicopter visit was part of the program for the high school's Law Enforcement Club, an outreach program run by the Yorktown Police Department.
