The trains are howling in at the Main House at Lasdon Park and Arboretum in Somers during the park's annual "Halloween Hair Raiser" events.
From Lasdon Park: "Visitors of all ages will be treated to "The Hogwarts Express," a two-tiered Lionel train layout traversing a "haunted" miniature village, all the way to Hogwarts Castle, where a replica of the Harry Potter hideout has been created especially for this display. For younger children, a special Thomas the Tank Engine train layout will allow them to control the track activity themselves and get a feel for model trains. Across the hall in the main dining room, walk through the Forbidden Forest, complete with replicas of many set pieces inspired by the Harry Potter film series, including an eerie mandrake plant."
The train show and Halloween displays will be on view from 11:00 am - 3:30 pm Oct. 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 30 and 31.
