Father, Son Accused Of Stealing From Elderly Woman
Police said they entered her room at an assisted living facility and took the money.
YORKTOWN, NY — A father and son have been accused of stealing from money from a resident at a senior assisted living facility. Yorktown police said John E. MacInnes Sr., 54, and John E. MacInnes Jr., 26, were both charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Around 9:30 a.m. May 16, police went to The Country House on Baldwin Road to investigate a reported theft.
The investigation found the father and son entered the resident’s room and took money from her, police said.

The men were contacted by phone and voluntarily surrendered at Yorktown Police Headquarters where they were arrested.

After processing, they were arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and then released on their own recognizance.
MacInnes Sr. and MacInnes Jr. were instructed to appear again in court June 13.
