Ganging Up for an Assault: Yorktown Police

police report the arrest of several Mahopac men in their teens and 20s

Yorktown police called about an assault have arrested Mahopac residents as the result of an investigation into the Jan. 19 incident.

Among them:

  • A Mahopac 17-year-old, whose name police would not release, was charged with third-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon and released to a parent.
  • Michael W. Guidice, 19, of Shore Drive, was charged with third-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing. Police allege he had a tire iron during the incident. He posted $500 bail and was released to a parent.
  • Louis J. Prokos, 24, of Walnut Drive, was charged with third-degree assault. He posted $1,000 bail and was released to a parent.
  • A 16-year-old from Shore Drive, whose name police would not release, was charged with third-degree assault and released.
  • Blaid M. Terhune, 22, of Mexico Lane, was charged with third-degree assault and released.

Yorktown police had the assistance of the Carmel Police Department with the arrests.

The victim was injured. Police said he suffered an injury to his right eye as well as a cut on his forehead. Temporary order restraining the accused attackers from coming near the victim have been issued.
