Gashi is the right choice for NYS Assembly

Our community and nation are very divided. The only way we can come together and make effective change is by electing leaders who value people over party, integrity over power. That’s why Vedat Gashi is the right choice for NYS Assembly.

Gashi is an independent voice, having earned the support of the Democratic, Independence, Working Families and Women’s Equality parties.

He’s a gun owner in support of common sense reform, like keeping convicted domestic abusers from having firearms. By contrast, the incumbent voted to keep guns in the hands of domestic abusers.

As a family man, Gashi knows first-hand the challenges working families face on a daily basis and supports local efforts to lower taxes in Westchester and Putnam Counties. But when the federal government chose to limit SALT (state and local tax) deductions for New Yorkers, the incumbent sat on idle hands and made no effort to help homeowners.

Gashi is a graduate of Lakeland High School, Connecticut College and Seton Hall Law School. He remains a Yorktown resident, along with his wife and their two young children.

It’s clear that Gashi has the credentials, credibility and integrity to be our next Assemblyman. In November, I’ll be voting for Vedat Gashi!
