
George J. DePolo of Yorktown Heights, NY passed away on December 19, 2014.
He was born on November 10, 1922 to Joseph and Alba DePolo. He was 92 years old and a remarkable man.
He grew up in the Bronx, NY; was a naval carrier based jet fighter pilot in World War II and the Korean War, who was severely injured after landing on the U.S.S Antitem in November of 1951; he recovered after a long hospital stay and returned stateside to join and retire as a Lieutenant in the NYPD.

More importantly, he was a good husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all.
He is resting in peace after a lengthy stay at the New York State Veteran’s Home in Montrose, NY, as a result of his Korean War Injuries.

George is survived by his son Judge George M. DePolo, daughter Ellen S. Petrillo and son in law Joseph S. Petrillo, Esq. He is also survived by three grandchildren Alison Petrillo, Elizabeth Petrillo, and Lauren Agovino.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Yorktown Funeral Home.
