Day one of the 2015 Yorktown Grange Fair was, unfortunately, a washout. “Throwback Thursday”, with its nostalgically low cost admissions and ride pricing, fell victim to the first rain we’ve had in weeks. But let’s look at the positive side: first, we did need the rain, and if it was going to rain during the Fair, Thursday night would be the night to sacrifice. Afterall, the kids have school on Friday and we parents have to work. But the best news is that we’re supposed to have beautiful weather tomorrow right through the weekend - great weather to be at the Fair!
So let’s look at what the Fair has in store for us for Friday:
The Fair opens at 4:00 with a special “Senior Gathering” at 4:20. As in the past when this was the senior luncheon, there will be food served and entertainment provided especially for seniors.

At 5:00 it’s all systems go as the rides open and the first of many performances of Tony’s World of Magic & Illusion, followed at 5:30 by the first live band of the night - local favorite Unfunded Mandate.
Along the way, there will be a canine agility demonstration, a second magic show, and a dance performance and special 9-11 tribute by Dance Faktory.

And if its dancing you like, save some energy for Chain of Fools who take the stage at 8:00 with their Motown, funk & soul review.
Hope to see you there!
