Helicopter Carrying Gov. Cuomo Makes Emergency Landing
The governor was on his way to New York City.

NEWBURGH, NY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s helicopter experienced mechanical problems on its way from Albany to New York City Wednesday and made an emergency landing at Stewart Airport in Newburgh.
The governor had just delivered his final regional State of the State address in Albany.
A Cuomo spokesman said around 4 p.m. the helicopter filled with smoke-like fumes and the pilot made the emergency landing.

Cuomo and two aides were on board, as were the pilot and security.
There were no injuries and the helicopter is undergoing maintenance.
