New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested Darryl J. Costello, 45, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.
On May 26 troopers stopped the vehicle Costello was driving on State Route 6 for failing to dim his high beams to oncoming traffic. The investigating trooper interviewed the Mahopac resident and observed clues that indicated he was intoxicated at the time of the stop.
Costello supplied a breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .38 percent, more than four times the legal limit of intoxication.
