Homeless Woman Refuses to Leave Apartment, Charged with Trespassing in Yorktown
She had been told to leave by both the homeowner and the police.

Yorktown, NY — A 55-year-old homeless woman was arrested by Yorktown police on a trespassing charge.
Police said Lora Morgan was found in an Underhill Avenue apartment, where she had been staying with a former acquaintance.

She had been lying on the homeowner’s bed and refused to leave after being told to by the homeowner.

Morgan also refused to leave when the Yorktown police told her to, officials said.
She was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor.

Morgan was processed and arraigned and sent to the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of $10,000 bail.
She is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court July 12.
