Hot Opening for Schools: Work Week Weather

It’ll feel like the height of summer instead of the beginning of September as schools all over the region reopen this week.

The heat and humidity returned this weekend after a lovely almost-fall break. That humidity will hang around for a while, and temperatures could climb into the 90s on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

There’s also a slight possibility of scattered thunderstorms on Monday.

“As we move thru the rest of the week… chances are good that we’ll experience a heat wave in the Hudson Valley,” said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. “Temperatures will continue to climb and should break the 90° on multiple occasions.”
