Jefferson Valley Man Hits Pedestrian, Leaves Scene: Police
Police said the man made no attempt to report the accident he allegedly caused.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Jefferson Valley man was accused by the police for leaving the scene of an accident. Yorktown Police said Mohammad Almuher, 39, of East Main Street in Jefferson Valley, was allegedly driving a car around 5:22 p.m. May 22 that struck a pedestrian causing her to be injured.
Police said that Almuher intentionally left the scene of the accident without making any attempt to report the incident.
He was eventually located and was placed under arrest.

Almuher was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury auto accident, a misdemeanor.

He was released on his own recognizance to a family member and is due back in the Yorktown Justice Court June 22.
