Judge Raniolo Announces Re-election Bid

#ExperienceIntegrityHonesty

Yorktown, NY - At a gathering of friends, family and supporters at the Stone Rose last evening, Yorktown Town Justice Gary J. Raniolo announced his intention to seek re-election in 2019. "For the last 7 years, the citizens of Yorktown have entrusted me to administer justice in a fair manner, upholding the laws of our community. Along with Judge Sal Lagonia and our hard working court staff, we have developed what many observers consider to be one of the most efficient and well run courts in the county." "My 35 years of legal experience, both as an Assistant District Attorney and in private practice, give me a unique perspective on what our community looks for and expects from the justice system." "I pledge to continue to use my legal knowledge and experience, to serve as an effective judge for the Town of Yorktown, with integrity and honesty which I consider to be the cornerstones of my character.

“I am committed to enhancing the safety and security of our neighborhoods. Crime in our town is down thanks to the diligent work of our dedicated Yorktown Police Department and other public safety agencies. Working together with Judge Lagonia, we have created an effective, efficient court process that allows for expeditious handling of arraignments, hearings, trials, and just dispositions while putting our police officers back on the street quickly.”

“Our involvement with the Alliance for Safe Kids, Youth Court and the Yorktown High School Justice League mock trial team has been an excellent insight into the lives of the young people in our community. Likewise, it also has provided our youth with a better understanding, appreciation and respect for the Criminal Justice System. I have also made it a priority of mine to treat cases that come before this court involving young people with a special level of interest. It is my intention to have these individuals realize that they have the opportunity to change their lives and become law abiding, productive members of the community. With the proper guidance, supervision and rehabilitation as mandated by this Court, success has been achieved with many of our youth who have appeared before me.”
