Katonah Man Arrested For DWI After Yorktown Crash: Police
Shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to Underhill Avenue and Heights Drive for a report of a car crash with injuries.
YORKTOWN, NY — Police say that a Westchester man was intoxicated when he crashed his car in Yorktown.
Yorktown police arrested a a 24-year-old Katonah man for driving while intoxicated and traffic violations.
Police say that on September 15, shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to the area of Underhill Avenue and Heights Drive after a report of a car crash with injuries.

Investigators say Gabriel Vergara-Ocampo was driving while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest and taken to Yorktown Police Department headquarters for processing.
Vergara-Ocampo was charged with driving with .08 percent BAC or more of alcohol, a misdemeanor; driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor; and several traffic infractions: driving to left of pavement markings, moving from a lane unsafely, having an unregistered motor vehicle, going at a speed not reasonable and prudent, and failing to keep right.

He was issued traffic tickets and was released on his own recognizance to a responsible third person. Vergara-Ocampo is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on September 26.
