Lakeland Begins School Budget Meetings

The Lakeland Board of Education will hold the first of four budget work sessions on Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. in the Administration Building.

Topics include the General Support, Operations & Maintenance, and Transportation budgets.

The budget meetings will be held January through April. All budget work sessions begin at 7 pm.

The remaining budget schedule and the budget topics are:

February 5, 2015 - Technology, Employee Benefits, and Debt Service budgets

March 5, 2015 - Instruction, Special Education, and BOCES budgets

April 9, 2015 - Finalize the 2015-2016 budget

The Administration Building is located at 1086 East Main St. in Shrub Oak. The budget meeting is open to the public and discussion is permitted on budget topics.

The next regular Board of Education meeting is a business meeting to be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 in Lincoln-Titus Elementary School at 7:30 p.m.
