Lakeland HS Pink Game Raises Funds For Breast Cancer Research

More than $100,000 raised in eight years

The annual Lakeland High School "Pink Game" this year raised almost $14,080 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The Tackle for a Cure game was held on Friday, September 21 at Lakeland High School.

Together the Lakeland Central School District, along with the Shrub Oak Athletic Club, has now raised a combined total of more than $100,000 since the program began eight years ago. “When we started Tackles for a Cure we had no idea what it would eventually grow into. Lakeland is truly a special place,” said Beth O’Neill. Money is raised through donations and the sale of tee shirts.
