Lakeland School District Election Results

Tuesday was the budget and school board vote across New York State.

YORKTOWN, NY — Lakeland school district voters approved the Board of Education's spending plan for 2017-18. The budget package for Lakeland Central School District is $162,716,765, up 0.75 percent from the current year’s spending plan. Three incumbents were re-elected to the school board.

Also on the ballot were propositions asking voters to approve establishing a capital reserve fund up to $20 million with a maximum term of 10 years and a transportation bond for new buses and vehicles.

There are three open board seats with five people vying for them.
