Lane Closures Scheduled For Taconic State Parkway
Construction on the parkway will be done weather permitting.

YORKTOWN, NY — The state Department of Transportation will be closing some lanes on the Taconic State Parkway for construction. Motorists should be advised that lane closures are expected for the southbound Taconic State Parkway between Underhill Avenue and the Croton Reservoir Bridge in the town of Yorktown Thursday, July 20, and Friday, July 21, so crews may perform construction activities. The work will be done weather permitting.
Daytime single lane closures are expected from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and from 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Double lane closures are expected to occur overnight from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. [Get Patch’s Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts here.]

Motorists should expect delays.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
