Lincoln Hall Students Building Altar for Pope's Visit

Cardinal Timothy Dolan was in Somers last week to check out the progress that made by Lincoln Hall residents on special structures Pope Francis will use during his visit to New York, according to the Somers Daily Voice.
They’re building an altar, lectern and pulpit for the Mass at Madison Square Garden.
The Somers Daily Voice reported that the pulpit was constructed with an extra half-step for Pope Francis, who has a bad knee, Dolan said.

The pope will visit Washington, DC, New York and Philadelphia during his visit next month. He will arrive in New York City the evening of Sept. 24. The visit will include Evening Prayer at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, an address to the United Nations, an interfaith service at the 9/11 Memorial, a visit to an East Harlem Catholic school and Mass at the Garden.
