Mahopac Man Accused Of Violating Protect Order
Police said the man showed up three times at the residence where he wasn't supposed to be, yelling and banging on the door.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Mahopac man was accused of violating an order of protection during a domestic incident.
The Yorktown Police Department said officers were sent to a Yorktown residence shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a domestic incident.
Authorities said the officers met with the victim, but Robert Altero, 61, of Mahopac, had left before police arrived.

The investigation found Altero came to the residence three separate times while yelling and banging on the door, police said, which was in violation of a duly sworn order of protection.
Altero was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department.

He was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation, police said.
Altero was arraigned by a judge who issued a stay-away order of protection.
He is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Oct. 14.
