Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing 10YO In Mohegan Lake
Police said the alleged abuse took place three separate times in March.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mohegan Lake man was arrested for sexually abusing a 10-year-old.
Yorktown Police said Matthew Hanney, 47, of Lawrence Road in Mohegan Lake, was charged with three counts of first-degree sexual abuse.
Police received a report March 25 that a 10-year-old child was allegedly sexually abuses earlier in the week.

Hanney was interviewed by police March 30 and was placed under arrest afterward.
The allegations are that Hanney subjected the child to sexual contact on three separate dates in March at his residence.

He was processed at Yorktown Police Headquarters and taken to the Yorktown Justice Court where he was arraigned by a judge who issued several temporary orders of protection.
The judge ordered Hanney held on $500,000 bail.
He was turned over to the Westchester County Department of Corrections and is scheduled to reappear in court April 6.
