Man Faces Menacing Charge For Threatening Another With A Weapon
A judge issued a temporary order of protection for the victim.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown Heights man was arrested after police said he threatened someone with a firearm. Yorktown Police said Joseph B. Porticelli, 45, of Ferncrest Drive, was charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.
On May 31 around 1 p.m., police responded to a Yorktown residence for a report of someone menacing another with a firearm.
Police said Porticelli had threatened the victim with the weapon and left the scene.

Porticelli was eventually located and arrested in Cortlandt Manor. He was taken to Yorktown Police Department where he was processed.

Porticelli was arraigned by a judge, who issued a temporary order of protection for the victim, and then he was released on $200 bail
He is due back in Yorktown Justice Court June 6.
