Man Killed By Falling Tree In Yorktown: PD
Authorities said the investigation is continuing with the assistance of OSHA.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 61-year-old man was killed Tuesday when he was struck by a falling tree.
The Yorktown Police Department said it received a report shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday from Westchester County Fire Control about a man, who was possibly not breathing, after a tree fell on him on Farm Walk Road in Yorktown.
Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Paramedics, the Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department and Yorktown police responded and found the man in the backyard of a home who was unconscious and not breathing.

Police began CPR until medics arrived to care for and take the man to Hudson Valley Hospital where he died of his injuries.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was working on the property when he was hit by the falling tree, police said.

Yorktown detectives said they are continuing the investigation into the incident with the assistance of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration.
