Man Smashes Car Window With Hammer, Gets Arrested: Police

He faces a felony charge, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — Police arrested a 39-year-old Yorktown man after he used a hammer to damage a car after a domestic incident. Yorktown Police said they responded to a Yorktown residence around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 12 to investigate a domestic incident.

Neil M. Quinn, 39, of Summit Street in Yorktown, intentionally damaged a vehicle’s window by smashing it with a hammer, police said.

Quinn was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. A judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim and her children.

Quinn is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice court Aug. 17.
