The defendant was held pending an arraignment.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mohegan Lake man was arrested June 8 for allegedly attempting to assault someone and injuring a child. Yorktown Police said Christopher J. Walker, 23, of Stony Street in Mohegan Lake, was charged with third-degree attempted assault and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

Police said they were called to investigate a domestic dispute around 10:17 p.m. June 8.

After an investigation, police said Walker allegedly tried to hurt someone by recklessly throwing a shoe and striking a 4-year-old in the face. The thrown shoe caused facial swelling and redness, police said.
