Mohegan Firefighters Make New Schedule for Annual Candy Cane Run

The Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association will hold its 2014 Candy Cane Runs Dec. 13-14. Firefighters will escort Santa Claus all around the Lake Mohegan Fire district to hand out candy canes, says First Lieutenant Chris Gravius.

This year’s schedule has been completely revamped, so check the schedule carefully.

Fire officials ask that all children are at the designated locations 15 minutes prior to arrival times to avoid children running near the fire trucks. And don’t forget that all the times could be delayed due to any fire/rescue or emergency medical call.

Rain/snow dates are Dec. 20-21.
