Mohegan Lake Porch Pirate Arrested

The homeowner was able to provide police with a video of the incident.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown Police arrested a Mohegan Lake resident who was accused of stealing packages from a Christine Road home Dec. 15. Police said Leisvel Gonzalez-Lopez, 24, of Lookout Street, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

The homeowner said the packages from Amazon.com were stolen Dec. 5 between 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and was able to provide police with a video of the incident along with a still shot of the suspect.

Police investigated and canvassed the neighborhood. They were able to identify and locate Gonzalez-Lopez.

He was arrested Dec. 19 and was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court Dec. 20.

Gonzalez-Lopez was sent to the Westchester County Department of Corrections on $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond

He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 4.
