More Snow, Then Colder: Yorktown's Workweek Weather
Snow is again in the forecast, along with deeper cold. We let you know what the latest forecast is for Somers.

YORKTOWN, NY — Not only do we have to contend with high temperatures well below freezing for the remainder of the week, but there is a chance of accumulating snow beginning Wednesday for the region. A Hazardous Weather Outlook was issued for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties that calls for at least a light accumulating snowfall Wednesday night into Thursday night.
Eventual impacts will depend on the track of a strong low pressure system that will pass east of the area.
The National Weather Service said “there currently is a low to moderate chance for at least 6 inches of snow” with the highest probability across eastern Long Island and southeastern Connecticut.

Alex Marra of Hudson Valley Weather isn’t ready to call for heavy snow; however, he is keeping all possibilities on the table.
“We know that a very large and powerful storm is going to form,” he said. “Based on current guidance, our region is expected to get a glancing blow of light snow and breezy conditions as the storm passes too far east for heavy precip to impact our region.”

Marra said not to write off the storm yet, because “storms like this can have dramatic changes.”
