Motorists Should Avoid Area Around Yorktown HS Thursday: Police
An annual event will be held at the school which will be heavily attended.

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown Police are advising motorists to avoid the area around Yorktown High School the evening of Thursday, Oct. 19. The Northern Westchester College Conference will be held at the school, located on Route 202, from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Because parking on the campus will be limited, and will likely be closed to traffic early Thursday evening, police have set up an off-site parking area a half mile from the campus in FDR State Park Parking Lot #4.

Motorists should enter through the truck and bus entrance off of Route 202 opposite the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
Shuttle bus service to and from the campus will be provided for the duration of the event.

Police officers and signage will assist motorists in locating the off-site lot.
Parking on roadway shoulders is prohibited, and vehicles will be subject to tow.
