New Rochelle Man Accused Of Stealing Credit Cards From Cars

The thefts occurred back in July, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A New Rochelle man was accused of stealing credit cards out of unlocked cars in Yorktown.

Yorktown police said Peter R. Eichie Jr., 20, of New Rochelle, was charged with four counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, felonies.

Police said, in the early morning hours of July 8, officers were sent to Barberry Road for multiple reports of thefts from cars.

An investigation found that Eichie stole credit cards from unlocked vehicles.

On Thursday, police were told he was in custody at the Westchester County Department of Public Safety on an unrelated charge.

Eichie was placed under arrest and taken to the Yorktown Police Department where he was processed on the charges.

He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 5.
