New Stop Signs Installed In Yorktown
The Traffic Safety Committee reviewed the intersections and conducted traffic safety studies.
YORKTOWN, NY — The Yorktown Police want the public to be aware of newly installed stop signs. The Traffic Safety Committee reviewed each of the intersections and conducted traffic safety studies. They determined that the addition of these traffic control devices would increase safety.
The signs are installed at the following locations:
- Mark Road and Bunny Lane
- Quaker Church Road at Granite Springs Road
- Amazon Road at Uncas Street, Sylvan and Mogul Drive
The stop signs were adopted by the Town of Yorktown as law and approved by the state.

Police ask that motorists be alert when driving because one could be in the habit of driving unimpeded through an intersection where now motorists are required to stop.
