New Yorktown Law Uses Cameras to Catch Litterbugs

If caught on camera, people can be fined up to $500.

YORKTOWN, NY — If you are thinking of tossing your trash out of your car while driving through Yorktown, think again.

The town has implemented a new littering law where people can be fined up to $500 if they are caught on camera tossing trash out of their cars, according to News 12.

The law is the first one of its kind for the county.
