NJ Man Assaults Woman At Sparkle Lake: Police
Police said he grabbed her phone keeping her from calling for help.

YORKTOWN, NY — A New Jersey resident was arrested for allegedly grabbing a woman’s phone and pushing her against a wall. Yorktown Police said Thomas A. Jacobson, 22, of Ringwood, NJ, was charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanors.
Police said they were called around 6:18 p.m. April 6 to a domestic incident at Sparkle Lake on Granite Springs Road.
An investigation found that Jacobson grabbed the victim’s phone, which prevented her from calling the police, and then he pushed her into a rock wall causing an injury to her head, police said.

Jacobson was arrested at the scene and arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court.
He was released after posting $250 bail, and a temporary order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

Jacobson is scheduled to next appear in court April 19.
