NYC Man Arrested For Burglarizing Dunkin' Donuts In 2017: PD

Police said when he was located he was being held in a Bronx detention center.

YORKTOWN, NY — A New York City man who was accused of breaking into and stealing from a Yorktown business more than two years ago was arrested Friday. Yorktown police said Angel Aybar, 49, of New York City, was charged with third-degree burglary, a felony.

Police said, on July 10, 2017, officers responded to the Dunkin' Donuts at 3399 Crompond Road for a recent burglary.

The investigation found that Aybar broke into the establishment and stole $1,140, police said.

A warrant for his arrest was issued July 14, 2017.

Yorktown police went to the Vernon C. Bain Correctional Center in the Bronx where Aybar was being held.

He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing.

Aybar was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and was released on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to return to court Dec. 10.
