NYC Man Arrested For Stealing $9K From Sears: Police

Police said the man fraudulently completed returns and had them put in his bank account.

YORKTOWN, NY — A New York man was arrested for allegedly stealing almost $9,000 from Sears. Yorktown Police said Pablo F. Andrade, 30, of West 140th Street in New York, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.

Police said they were dispatched to Sears May 1 to investigate thefts that had been reported.

Detectives found that, between March 11 and April 17, Andrade allegedly stole about $8,964.77 from the retailer by completing fraudulent returns electronically to his personal bank account.

He voluntarily appeared at Yorktown Police Headquarters June 13 and was arrested.

Andrade was arraigned in Yorktown Justice Court and release on his own recognizance.

He is scheduled to reappear in court July 11.
