Ossining Man Accused Of Punching Man Holding Infant
The man faces assault and child endangerment charges, police said.
YORKTOWN, NY — An Ossining man was accused of punching someone in the face who was holding a child at the time.
The Yorktown Police Department said Jason J. Galea, 32, of Ossining, was charged Monday with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors.
According to the police, shortly before 9:30 p.m. Friday, officers were sent to a report of an assault in progress at a Yorktown residence.

An investigation found Galea injured a man by punching him in the face with a closed fist, police said, adding that the man was holding an infant in his arms when he was punched.
Galea voluntarily surrendered Monday to the Yorktown Police Department and was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.

A judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victims.
Galea is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 6.
