Ossining Man Accused Of Stealing From Jefferson Valley Mall Macy's: Police

The alleged theft took place over the course of a month.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Macy’s employee was accused of stealing from the retailer. Yorktown police said Latierre O. Valentine, 30, of Snowden Avenue in Ossining, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

On Oct. 16, police received a call from Macy’s staff reporting that an employee had been detained for an alleged past theft. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

Police said an investigation found that Valentine stole $2,850 in cash between Sept. 19 and Oct. 15.

He took the cash from the register, police said.

Valentine was arrested and taken to headquarters for processing.

He was released on $200 bail and is due back in Yorktown Justice Court Nov. 16.
