Ossining Woman Accused Of Speeding, Not Having License
Police also said the woman did not display proper registration plates on her car.
YORKTOWN, NY — An Ossining woman was accused of driving without a license, speeding and not having license plates on her car.
The Yorktown Police Department said Iceis A. Aponte, 22, of Ossining, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and speed over 55 zone and failed to display registration number plates, traffic infractions.
Police said, shortly before 10 p.m. July 21, an officer on patrol on Route 6 in the area of Hill Boulevard saw a car that was traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone.

After stopping the car, the officer identified the driver as Aponte.
An investigation and computer check found that her driving privilege in the state was suspended for not having insurance, police said, and the vehicle was not displaying proper license plates.

Aponte was arrested and issued tickets. She was released on her own recognizance to answer the charges in Yorktown Justice Court Aug. 10.
