Peekskill Man Accused Of Having Illegal Drugs After Traffic Stop
Police spotted the man driving too fast on a snow-covered road in Yorktown.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Peekskill man was accused of having illegal drugs after a traffic stop.
Yorktown police said Antoine Boyd, 30, of Peekskill, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, a misdemeanor, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and multiple traffic infractions.
Police said, around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, an officer saw a car traveling east on Crompond Road at a high speed that wasn't prudent for the snow-covered road conditions.

The car had a license plate that was obstructed, and an officer conducted a traffic stop, police.
Besides having improper license plates, police said the vehicle's registration was suspended and did not have insurance.

Boyd was also in possession of crack cocaine and some marijuana, police said.
He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
Boyd was arraigned Friday and sent to the Westchester County Jail. He is next scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Wednesday.
