Peekskill Man Arrested During Domestic Incident: Police
Police said the man tried to push his way past an officer to get closer to a woman with whom he was having an argument.
YORKTOWN, NY — A Peekskill man was arrested after being accused of trying to prevent an officer from stopping an argument.
Yorktown police said Christopher Robertson, 21, of Peekskill, was charged with obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor.
Shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday, an officer was sent to investigate a domestic incident in a parking lot.

The officer found a man and a woman having a verbal argument and tried to de-escalate the situation, police said.
After positioning himself between the couple to try to keep them separated, Robertson tried to push past the officer to get closer to the woman, police said.

He was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
Robertson was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Oct. 20.
