Peekskill Man Threatens Woman, Gets Arrested: PD

A judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Peekskill resident was accused of threatening someone at a Yorktown home.

The Yorktown Police Department said Max Nieves, 23, of Peekskill, was charged Saturday with second-degree aggravated harassment, a misdemeanor.

Police said they were called Saturday to investigate a domestic incident at a Yorktown residence.

The officers said they found that Nieves called the victim around 6:30 p.m. threatening her and causing her to fear for her safety.

Members of the City of Peekskill Police Department were told about the incident and they located Nieves.

He was placed under arrested around 9:50 p.m. and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.

On Sunday, Nieves was arraigned, and a judge issued a temporary order of protection in favor of the victim.

Nieves was released on his own recognizance to return to the Yorktown Justice Court Jan. 13.
